How do I use my MatchBoard®
system to service my customers who are not on MatchBoard?
MatchBoard has various features to enable you to service your
non-MatchBoard clients from within your MatchBoard system,
e.g. logging an open position, submitting candidates, tracking
the progress of an open position, getting on-line customer
feedback, etc. Although you will have the tightest integration
with your MatchBoard customers, you can take full advantage
of the workflow automation features of MatchBoard as well
as improve the speed and quality of your service to your non-MatchBoard
customers. MatchBoard has been designed keeping in mind that
most companies will have both MatchBoard as well as non-MatchBoard
customers.

One of my clients is a MatchBoard user,
and I am currently using the Partner version of MatchBoard
with that client. Another of my clients has signed up with
MatchBoard. Do I need to install another Partner version of
MatchBoard to service the new client?
In the Partner version, your MatchBoard database is hosted
by your customer who gave you the Partner version. Although
you can still service both customers with Partner versions,
you may have to contend with having your business information
spread over two separate databases - one with each of your
customers. You may wish to consider upgrading to a regular
MatchBoard license so you can host your own MatchBoard database
and then service any number of MatchBoard and non-MatchBoard
customers without any duplication of work.

If my customer is already on MatchBoard,
how do I sign up my company with him through MatchBoard?
If you are a current MatchBoard user, you can simply exchange
IDs with your customer and begin doing business with each
other through MatchBoard. If you are not currently a MatchBoard
user, you can either get a free copy of MatchBoard from your
customer, or you can purchase a MatchBoard license yourself.

If I am using the Partner version, where
does my MatchBoard database reside?
Your database resides on the same server as your customer's
MatchBoard database - either at the MatchBoard Data Canter
or at your customer's site. If you prefer, you can host your
own database (and service your other customers more efficiently,
whether they are on MatchBoard or not) by purchasing your
own licensed copy of MatchBoard. Please contact us for more
details.

How do I know other companies won't have
access to my consultants or customer names?
No other company has access to your candidates or any other
privileged information. When you purchase a MatchBoard license,
your MatchBoard database resides on your own computers and
is subject to all the security measures you have put in place
for your installation. When you are using MatchBoard, you
have to explicitly send data (or explicitly make it accessible)
to others on the MatchBoard network in order for them to see
it.

I currently post my available candidates
on various job boards. What's special about the Matchboard
Marketplace?
The MatchBoard Marketplace is used only by MatchBoard employers
and MatchBoard vendors, and is tightly integrated into their
MatchBoard systems. Open Positions, Available Candidates,
etc. in the Marketplace are implicitly vouched for by their
respective companies by listing them under their own names.
Both buyers and sellers are assured that they can quickly
establish a reliable and efficient business relationship with
any party they find in the Marketplace. You can also search
resumes in the Marketplace using more powerful search engines,
so you can very quickly shortlist qualified candidates without
having to eyeball hundreds of resumes that keyword searches
yield.

How do I send my customers' position requirements
out to my subcontractors without revealing my customers' names
to them?
Sensitive information such as customer names are automatically
suppressed by Matchboard when communications are made with
outside parties. You can easily tailor exactly how much information
you want to reveal to your subcontractors for any position
requirement.

We currently send formatted resumes, with
our company logo, to our customers. How are resumes sent through
MatchBoard formatted?
MatchBoard uses Microsoft Word files or formatted html files
for resumes. You can format resumes using the full features
of Word and send them to your customers with the formatting
intact. If your resumes are currently stored as Word files,
they can be used by MatchBoard without further conversion
or formatting.

What happens if one of my independent
consultants has also applied to some of my competitors?
As in the manual process, it is likely that the same candidate
is presented in response to a customer inquiry by more than
one vendor company. MatchBoard attempts to detect such duplicates
and flag them for the customer in the response to the inquiry.
The customer may then choose which vendor to go through based
on their internal guidelines (e.g. earliest submission, preferred
vendor, etc.).

Our recruiters work as a team on our
customers' requirements. Can MatchBoard keep track of where
recruiting credit should be given even if it is shared among
recruiters?
MatchBoard allows you to associate one or more recruiters
(including 'Lead Recruiters') with each recruiting task you
undertake. Various detail and consolidated reports are available
using which you can apportion credit to recruiters very flexibly.

What features are available for managing
our bench candidates - hiring, placing and project administration?
MatchBoard provides extensive features for screening, hiring,
visa processing, promoting, placing and managing candidates
you recruit for your bench. You can search for candidates
on the web, receive on-line applications directly into your
MatchBoard database, screen candidates based on experience
in individual skills or other criteria, track employment related
transactions (interviews, offers, document processing, visa
applications and progress), publicize availability, provide
automatic access to available bench candidates to your MatchBoard
customers or to new customers via the Marketplace, track submissions
and interviews, log placements and manage candidates on project
(evaluations, availability, timesheets, etc.).
MatchBoard is designed to permit your employees to handle
many more bench candidates and track information much better.

How do I send Hotlists of my available
candidates to my MatchBoard and non-MatchBoard customers?
MatchBoard has features for you to easily create and customize
Hotlists on the fly and send them to anyone you select.

Can MatchBoard help me keep notes on
our consultants about conversations, technical evaluations,
negotiations, etc.?
Yes. You can enter confidential notes on each candidate you
enter into MatchBoard simply by clicking on the Notes tab.
These notes are available to you as well as other authorized
users (that you permit) throughout your organization.

Won't MatchBoard introduce additional
competition for me at my own accounts if my customers can
deal with all the other vendor companies who are MatchBoard
members?
No. Customers who subscribe to MatchBoard can see the resumes
of only those of their vendors who they have explicitly added
to their list of MatchBoard vendors. Therefore, if one of
your customers becomes a MatchBoard subscriber, he will not
automatically see resumes from every other MatchBoard vendor.
Vendors can offer their candidates to MatchBoard customers
only one of two ways - by getting the customer to add them
to their list of MatchBoard vendors, or by accepting subcontracts.

Will MatchBoard dilute our personal contact
with our customers?
Your salespeople can significantly leverage their effectiveness
through MatchBoard. MatchBoard handles all the routine business
of soliciting and collecting customer requirements, briefing
recruiters, reviewing resumes collected, submitting resumes
to the customer, etc. MatchBoard also ensures that your salespeople
will not miss out on Open Positions just because they were
not in front of the customer when the position opened up.
The customer can automatically send out each requirement to
one or all vendors that they want to deal with. MatchBoard
relieves your salespeople from the routine initial steps so
they can step in when the customer wants to interview one
of your candidates - the time that the customer wants to talk
to your salesperson! MatchBoard frees up salespeople to focus
on closing deals, on relationship building with their existing
customers, on the large or unusual projects, and on winning
new accounts.
Because MatchBoard handles much of the routine work, salespeople
can now handle far more accounts, which can result in significantly
more commissions.

I don't use IE as my browser. Can I still
use MatchBoard?
You can continue to use your favorite browser as you do now.
MatchBoard comes pre-packaged with a compatible version of
IE (Microsoft Internet Explorer) or you can readily download
the latest IE version free. When you start up MatchBoard,
it will automatically start up IE if required and run seamlessly
using IE.

How do I get my existing resume database
into MatchBoard?
Depending on the nature of your existing database, it can
be converted into the MatchBoard format. For most SQL or XML
compliant databases, this is a straightforward and reliable
process. Depending on how much information you currently keep
for each candidate, you may or may not have all the information
that matchboard is capable of tracking. Conversion
Services are available to expertly convert your existing
database.
